 Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro will replace the commanders of the country's army, navy and air force will be replaced, the defense ministry said Tuesday. The announcement comes a day after the underfire head of state overhauled his cabinet with six substitutions, including a new defense minister. "The decision was communicated in a meeting on Tuesday with incoming defense minister (Walter Souza) Braga Netto and outgoing minister Fernando Azevedo," the goverment said in a statement. What other changes has the president made? Bolsonaro on Monday sacked a string of officials, including Defense Minister Azevedo. Some local media, including the Folha de Sao Paulo daily, reported that the military chiefs had quit en masse in protest at the unexpected ministerial reshuffle.   The highest profile casualty on Monday was Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo.  Turkey on Monday reported 7,945 new coronavirus cases, including 660 symptomatic patients, and 91 more fatalities. The overall case count has now topped 2.59 million, with the death toll reaching 27,562, according to the Health Ministry. Some 7,106 more patients won their battle against the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries past 2.48 million. The number of COVID-19 patients in critical condition stands at 1,232, the latest figures showed. Over 31.63 million tests have been done in Turkey to date, including 116,452 more over the past day.
