Saudi Arabia crackdowns on its dissidents

The arrests of Saudi dissendents and political activists have resurfaced in the recent days. A senior Shia cleric has been arrested by Saudi forces in Al Ahsa Governorate in the country’s Eastern Province, local sources said.

According to the sources, security forces raided the home of Allameh Sayyid Hashim al-Shakhs on Monday and took him into custody.

The Riyadh regime also razed to the ground a mosque in the town of al-Awamiyah in Eastern Province without any prior warning.

Analysts consider democrats coming into power in the United States as the reason behind these arrests.

The Saudi regime is well aware that with Joe Biden coming into power, their actions won't be same as that of before.

With the series of these events it seems that Bin Salman is scared and is struggling to stay in power.
