Why Biden opposes the war in Yemen?

The issue that President elect Joe Biden reversed Trump's order to designate Houthis as terrorists and his opposition to military support for Bin Salman and Bin Zayed who are carrying out a war against the people of Yemen is not because of the humanitarian concers, had it been so, Barack Obama woukd have not supported this war as Biden was working under him. Undoubtedly, without the direct support of the White House, Bin Salman and Bin Zayed would have not been in a position to start a war. In fact, the main reason why Biden says he will no longer continue to provide weapons and intelligence support to the Saudis in the Yemeni war is simply to put pressure on Donald Trump.

Actually, before leaving the White House, Trump made several arms deals with the Saudis, most of which were signed by companies that were very close to Trump. In other words, most of the money from the sale of these weapons went to Trump and his gang, which they want to spend in the 2024 election. So, by doing so, Biden basically prevented the money from reaching Trump's pocket. This is a fact that you can find with a little research. Many times the Saudis wanted to end the war in Yemen, but it was Trump who encouraged them to continue the war with the promise of his support. This way, Bin Salman and Bin Zayed, who had no authority, continued the war.

In these four years, US arms companies have sold more than $ 120 billion in services and equipment to the Saudi and UAE armies, the highest in recent years.

Meanwhile, British and French companies also made huge sums of money. While the backbone of the Saudi Air Force is the Panavia Tornado, Eurofighter Typhoon and American F-15 fighter jets, the Emirates makes use of F-16 and Mirage fighter jets that supply the required parts, weapons and ammunition along with overhaul services, light and heavy checks, bringing in tens of billions of dollars in the pockets of the French Dassault Aviation and the British Systems. Put these things next to combat and transport helicopters, tanks, refueling, transport at various levels, radar and satellite services, etc. to find out why no one in London, Paris and Washington wanted this war to end while Bin Salman was occupied from all sides. But now as Biden has came to power, he makes efforts to block Trump's income, and that has led Mike Pompeo to sharply attack Biden's foreign policy. The immediate response of the Saudis to the US president's remarks showed that they had been waiting for someone to come and rescue them from the Yemeni quagmire, they had been defeated for years and were only made to fill the pockets of Western arms companies by emptying their own pockets.

At the same time Thursday, Biden also reaffirmed that the United States was committed to cooperating in the kingdom’s defense. Biden said so after saying that the war in Yemen must end. This shows that the US approach to the Saudis has not changed so far, and that the goal of Biden and his administration regarding the end of the war in Yemen and to take a humanitarian and human rights stance is what was said at the beginning of this article. The Saudis, who paid billions during the Trump administration for four years, will also have to bow to the Biden administration.

The direct outcome of this stance by the US President is the cessation of the Saudi war machine in Yemen. The cessation of this war machine means the end of air support for mercenaries who fought in various forms for the Saudis and the Emirati people, and if this direct air support is cut off, many issues on the ground will change completely. In the meantime, the stance of the resigned government and the mercenary of Abdul Rahman Mansour Hadi would also be interesting. The appointment of Mr Lenderking as Yemen's special envoy is another important step by the United States in its efforts to support the Yemeni government, its people and end the war, the Riyadh-based government said in a statement.
